Oh the Horror was created while awaiting "living" back in the states for a brief moment to attend Kent State. I had just found out that I had a "hole" in my heart that was in need of repair. I think for me it was an expression of shock, but at the same time a parody of becoming Frankensteinish, in the part that I was to have an implant in my heart.

The irony of this painting, is that I found out later that I have descents that were born in the Burg Frankenstein.
